UV Gluing

Various types of glue can be used to fasten acrylic materials together. UV Gluing is used on clear or highly translucent acrylic material. It does not work with opaque acrylics as it does need UV light to cure. One advantage of UV glue is that no solvent or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are in the adhesive system which means nothing off-gasses from the process that could create adverse health effects. 

This type of gluing offers many advantages including strong adhesive anchorage, continued adhesion over a wide range of temperatures, and long-term resilience against degradation.
