Diamond Polishing

Diamond Polishing is a method of polishing thermoplastics by applying a diamond-tipped blade which is attached to a large spinning disc head that gradually shaves the surface of the acrylic smooth and clean. Although this method is not suitable to be used with curved surfaces, only straight ones. 

Diamond polishing is not just an aesthetic practice. By smoothing and cleaning up your thermoplastics using this method imperfections are eliminated that often cause cracks, therefore finished products don’t just look great once diamond polished but they are stronger and more resilient along glued surface edges. 

Diamond polishing is quite effective when large numbers of flat surfaces need to be polished simultaneously. Most diamond polishers can polish multiple items at the same time, giving it a huge advantage over flame or mop polishing when large quantities are being manufactured or turnaround time is a factor.
