Clients come back to ASH Plastics time and time again because they know that the components we design and manufacture meet strict tolerances and highly detailed specifications. In the case of many of our retail clients, the items we supply also have to tie-in with wider branding and marketing efforts, but on some occasions the functional operation of a component is the most important aspect of all. This is the case when we a client asks us to provide till guards for their retail outlets.
Till guards
An acrylic till guard can play a vital role in protecting both the money being stored in a till and the well-being of the person operating the till. A well-constructed and correctly proportioned till guard will act as a deterrent to anyone thinking of trying to steal money from a till, while also enabling the till operator to carry out their work as normal and unencumbered by the guard itself.
In most cases a till guard will be designed and manufactured to an established template based on the standard size and shape of retail till units. If not, however, we have a state of the art design facility capable of taking the brief supplied by any client and using Alphacam 3 Axis CAD/CAM software to turn that brief into a fully detailed engineering drawing.
Whether a bespoke design is needed or not, a dedicated project manager will be provided for each client, in order to ensure that the lines of communication remain open and functioning from first contact through to complete delivery.
Design & manufacture
Once the design has been agreed, the till guards themselves will be manufactured in a 20,000 sq. ft. facility featuring high tech equipment including CNC laser cutters, thermoforming and vacuum forming facilities and line bending equipment.
These techniques will be combined to create till guards which meet the specifications provided by the client, and the scale of our manufacturing facility is such that we can deal with bulk orders for large numbers of till guards while still delivering at speed.
We know that retail environments often deal with extremely short lead times and we can work with those deadlines without compromising on quality.
Efficient end-to-end process to meet tight deadlines
Once the till guards have been manufactured we can distribute and deliver them through a logistics operation which is able to call upon the advantages of a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
When needed, we can also work with a global network of like-minded manufacturers to take advantage of the best value materials and the possibilities of economies of scale.
